Nut-rients™ is a blended-value company with a for-profit and a non-profit entity linked by a common mission: providing Nut-rition for a hungry world. Nut-rients™ LLC sells premium, nutritionally-fortified nut butters (snacks) to US consumers, donating a significant percentage of its revenues to Nut-rients™ Foundation*. Nut-rients™ Foundation, in turn, supports sustainable economic development projects—including the production and distribution of fortified peanut butter—in beleaguered regions around the world.

Our first region is Nepal, where Nut-rients™ Foundation is partnered with Nepal NUTrition. Nepal NUTrition works with Nepalese food producers to provide locally sourced, medical-grade therapeutic peanut butter to malnourished families through UNICEF, the World Food Programme and other NGOs and INGOs.
Examples of other regions under consideration include:
East Africa where we will feature the mongongo nut as our regional ingredient and KickStart as our regional partner
Copper Canyon, Mexico where we will feature chia seeds as our regional ingredient and the The Hunger Project as our regional partner
Examples of other regions under consideration include:
What could be better than a snack that tastes great, is nutritionally superior and saves kids’ lives? At a time when consumers want it all—a healthy body, a clean conscience and a sustainable world—Nut-rients™ delivers.
Each of our flavors features a special ingredient such as Nepalese ginger or Kenyan mongongo fruit. Each special ingredient is delicious, native to a region in which we are actively providing assistance and increases the superfood qualities of our product. Like Vitamin Water and other nutritionally branded products, our labeling explains the nutritional power of each flavor’s special ingredient and offers education regarding healthy consumption for athletic fueling and recovery, weight management and general healthy snacking. Sourcing this ingredient locally provides additional economic stimulus to the featured region and creates opportunities for compelling storytelling and exotic brand associations, as with single-origin coffees, chocolates and teas. This approach allows us to go deep by engaging individual communities and broad by replicating the model in multiple locales as we grow and add regional flavors and NGO/INGO partnerships.
Fun and educational labeling tells the story of each featured ingredient—its health benefits and importance to the local economy—from the perspective of a local youth. These stories are a compelling way to connect consumers to global social solutions while providing education about both personal nutrition and the power of nut butters as part of a healthy diet. When consumed properly, the balance of proteins, carbohydrates and healthy oils makes nut butter ideal for programs of weight loss, weight gain, athletic fueling and recovery, and healthy snacking. Therapeutic, or fortified, nut butters are also a nearly perfect food for treating malnourishment.
